To begin, please take out a cooking skillet, and then add into it the fresh skinless chopped green apples, three tablespoons of real unsalted butter, and one third cup of white superfine baking sugar. Heat these ingredients over medium high heat, stirring often until the fruit has caramelized. Once you're done with that step, remove the skillet from the burner, and let it cool.
Next preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, or 163 degrees Celsius.
Next take out a muffin pan, and line twenty four wells with standard cupcake liners. Next you should take out another mixing bowl, and then sift together the white all purpose baking flour, baking powder, one teaspoon of fresh ground cinnamon, and the fine ground table salt. Once you're done sifting, set those ingredients aside.
Next take out another mixing bowl, and then cream together one and a quarter cups of real butter and the remaining portion of white superfine baking sugar. Next beat in the eggs one at a time, until they disappear into the mixture. Moving along, next beat in the pure liquid vanilla extract and fresh orange zest. Next take out an electric mixer, and then mix your butter and sugar mixture with the sifted flour mixture that you set aside earlier. Mix these ingredients together until an even and consistent cupcake batter forms. Next beat in the cold fresh whole milk. Finally you are ready to fill your cupcake wells with the batter, then top it off with the caramelized apples that you prepared earlier. You will want to bake your cupcakes for fifteen minutes, or until you can poke them with a toothpick, and it comes out clean. Once done let your cupcakes cool on a wire rack.
While your cupcakes are cooling, you can prepare the frosting. Take out a medium size mixing bowl, and then add in the remaining amount of butter and all of the powdered sugar. Cream these two ingredients together using an electric mixer. Next mix in the remaining amount of fresh ground cinnamon. Once your frosting is smooth and creamy, spread it on each cupcake. That concludes this yummy recipe.
